Traveling on a PRIME TIME trip is a carefully planned excursion where we do the work, and you only need to arrive at the destination location with your bags packed and ready to go! We manage the travel details, transportation, timelines, and most meals.

Trips range from convenient day and weekend trips throughout New England, to longer trips across the United States, Canada, and Europe.

When you are part of PRIME TIME Travel, you also will have a personal banker who can assist you at any time with questions about your banking relationship with us. To be part of our PRIME TIME Travel program, you must maintain a $25,000 or greater combined daily consumer deposit balance, or pay a $15 monthly fee debited from a Bristol County Savings Bank checking account.

Our PRIME TIME trips are easy and convenient…all you have to do is have fun!

April 14 – Iceland’s Magical Northern Lights “Virtual Presentation”
Ready to travel again? We are excited to plan a tour of Iceland October 3 – 9, 2021. Join us for a Zoom presentation to hear about this amazing island forged by ice and fire. Collette representatives will be available to answer all of your questions.

May 19 – Discover Mackinac Island “Virtual Presentation”
We are excited to plan a tour to Mackinac Island featuring the Grand Hotel and the Tulip Time Festival. Join us for a travel presentation to hear about this beautiful region, which comes alive amidst old-fashioned traditions.

June 9 –  Financial Abuse Awareness Virtual Seminar
Join us for a virtual seminar with District Attorney Thomas Quinn and Michael Scott, head of the Massachusetts Financial Crimes Unit. They will share stories about financial-exploitation schemes, and educate our seniors and their families and caregivers about these threats.

June 30 – On the Road Again Virtual Presentation
Join us for our ‘On the Road Again’ Zoom kick-off event as we discuss the current state of travel and announce some exciting upcoming events we have planned!

July 7 – ‘In Our Own Backyard’: Showcasing Taunton
A historic tour of the Silver City beginning with a walking tour through Downtown Taunton and ending at the Old Colony History Museum. Enjoy a Taste of Taunton-style luncheon featuring local favorites from nearby establishments followed by a presentation by local historian and author, Dr. Hanna.

July 22 – Block Island 
Designated as “one of the last great places in the western hemisphere”, Block Island offers miles of pristine beaches, sparkling clear water and dramatic bluffs. Enjoy a guided tour of the island including visits to Great Salt Pond, scenic lighthouses and lunch at the historic National Hotel.

July 23 – Block Island – Second Date Added
Due to popular demand, PRIME TIME Travel was able to schedule a second date to “one of the last great places in the western hemisphere”!

 

August

August 4 – ‘In Our Own Backyard’: Showcasing Fall River
A unique tour of Fall River on the 129th anniversary of that fateful day when Lizzy Borden “took an axe and gave her mother forty whacks. When she saw what she had done, she gave her father forty-one”. Take a guided tour of the Lizzy Borden House and a trolley tour of Lizzy-related sites in Fall River guided by an author and former employee of the Lizzy Borden House.

August 11 – Passport Day
Apply for a new passport or renew your existing one with no lines and no waiting. United States Postal Service employees will be on site at our Corporate Office exclusively for PRIME TIME Travel members. PRIME TIME Travel will schedule 10-minute appointments and provide the necessary forms in advance.

August 18 – ‘Alaska Discovery Land & Sea’ Kick-off Presentation
Traverse the Pacific coast by land and sea aboard one of Princess Cruise Lines’ lovely ships on a breathtaking journey that takes you from Alaska to Vancouver, British Columbia. (August 2022)

September 16 – ‘In Our Own Backyard’: Showcasing New Bedford
Enjoy lunch at the Wamsutta Club, originally founded in 1866 as a “New York style” social club followed by a trolley tour of historic whaling captain’s homes and Victorian-style homes. Learn their stories and the stories of those that lived in them. Finish the day with a visit to the New Bedford Fishing Heritage Center, which is dedicated to preserving and presenting the story of the fishing industry past, present and future.

 

September 22 – ‘London & Paris’ Kick-off Presentation
From cosmopolitan London to romantic Paris, cross the English Channel via train and take in the best of these iconic cities. (October 2022)

 

September 29 – Real ID Virtual Seminar
Does your license fly? What is the REAL ID and what is all the buzz about this new form of identification? Learn the differences between the REAL ID and a driver’s license, the benefits to having a REAL ID and the identification documents required to obtain a REAL ID

October 3 – October 9 – Iceland’s Magical Northern Lights (7 days) 
Experience this once-in-a-lifetime journey to track down the aurora borealis – one of nature’s most dazzling light displays, also known as the northern lights. Discover Iceland, the “land of fire and ice” where streaming lava fields and massive glaciers sculpt mountains and valleys, leaving thundering waterfalls and plunging fjords.

October 14 - Cape Cod Foliage Train Tour - Sold Out
All aboard for a three-course luncheon on the Cape Cod Central Railroad followed by a visit to A.D. Makepeace, the world’s largest grower of cranberries. Learn about the yearly cycle of cranberry growing, the methods of harvesting and obtain insight on being a cranberry farmer.

October 20 – REAL ID Day
Those interested in applying for a REAL ID are encouraged not to wait until 2023. Exclusively for members, book your appointment directly though PRIME TIME Travel to apply for your REAL ID with no lines and no waiting. We will schedule 10-minute appointments and provide the necessary forms.

November 10 – Holly Fitzgerald – Presentation and Book Signing
Meet the author of Ruthless River: Love & Survival by Raft on the Amazon’s Relentless Madre de Dios. This debut memoir by Dartmouth resident recounts life-and-death experiences in the jungles of the Amazon in 1973. Hear how her powerful story came to be, how it was published and what happens next.

November (Date TBD) – Newport Playhouse & Cabaret
Have a great day with a delicious buffet, a funny play and a wonderful cabaret. This year’s performance is “A Christmas for Carol”.

December 8 – Hamilton - Sold Out
The Broadway smash hit that broke boundaries sold out for months and took home 11 awards including best musical fuses the worlds of contemporary and classic to tell the story of America’s founding father, Alexander Hamilton. This exploration of Hamilton’s political mastermind is being called “the most exciting and significant musical of the decade” and PRIME TIME Travel has tickets!
